Name Suggestions for my new Horse

Question:

Name suggestions for my new man? Please! He`s a buckskin paint two blue eyes believed to be Quarter horse. He came with the name bandit but it doesn`t really suit his personality. I`m looking for more Indian names.

A little about him. He was very shy, fearful, and had zero trusts and confidence. He wouldn`t even let me touch him when I first got him. When he needed his blanket put on it took 3 of us to get it on him, and afraid of brushes. I did a little groundwork, round pen, and desensitizing one day for maybe a total of 45 minutes. Now, he is in my back pocket and follows me everywhere. I still have to go slow with him when grooming or blanketing but only at first for a minute or two.

He is the low man in the herd but will defend himself when needed. I got a thoroughbred yearling the same day I got bandit (from a different person) and added them to the existing herd of 3 geldings. The yearling is a happy go lucky little boy who just tries to stay out of trouble and sticks to himself...bandit has buddied up with him. The 3 geldings were pretty rough on the two new guys trying to keep their place in the herd and bandit seems to try to take the brunt of everything so the yearling doesn`t.

He LOVES to run, and very fast for how big he is. He`s also a beautiful mover. He jumped a hill the fence of the round pen is on while round penning and it was so beautiful. Turning?? My farrier was right when he told me this horse can turn on a dime.

I would appreciate any suggestions. I`m more interested in Indian names but open to other suggestions as well.
In a sum up...beautiful buckskin paint with blue eyes, loves to run and very fast, looks after the yearling, not a fighter but will stand up for himself very well, went from so terrified he would be shaking to a cuddle bug in my back pocket. This horse is more of a Velcro big puppy than the walker I`ve had before him and that says a lot. I thought my walker was up to my butt.

Sorry for the book but there`s just so much to describe with how amazing this guy is. I was supposed to only foster him, train him, and find a good home for him as his previous owners were going to put him down...I`m sure you all can guess after reading my post this guy isn`t going anywhere.

Many Algonquin myths show Wisaka creating the human race in one of many ways. This name could work for a number of horses, particularly one you see as a really good friend or one you expect to become one.

• He is handsome, patience will pay off.
• How could anyone think about putting down such a beautiful creature. He`s lucky you got him. I like Camanchee, Apache, or I really love Jeronimo!!! He was a famous Indian, look him up!
• Wind storm... Cause he likes to run, and storm or stormy for short.
• He needs a bigger halter. Look at the indentation on his poor nose.

  The sweetest guy you will ever meet. He will defend you as if your family and even though he can be the biggest dork ever sometimes, you will love him anyway because he will never do wrong. He will always make u laugh and is the most hilarious guy ever and will speak his mind. He mainly hangs out with girls and acts like their brother but is secretly looking for the "one"

• I think Bandit is good in the respect that if he stole your heart he`s a bandit of your heart.
• I knew a paint years ago with a similar personality. I don`t think he was ever mistreated but since he passed I have yet to meet a more loving, compassionate soul in a horse. He has similar coloring. His name was Colorado.
• He looks like a wonderful boy...the name Apache 💕came to mind when I looked at your photos. I also have a blue-eyed blue roan paint...her barn name is Angel, registered to Skip a Blue Streak. 💙
• Hawkeye (like in last of the Mohicans, he was the blue-eyed brother played by Daniel Day-Lewis who protected and fought for his brothers) or Tomahawk "Hawk" as a nickname for both.
• catcher of dreams or Dreamer for short?
• Cam short for cremello as in the cremello koala chocolate.
• Cheyenne😂 I`m named after the Cheyenne Indians, but mum spelled it differently. When I was looking for my 2nd horse, all the paint QH`s where named Cheyenne.
• Boomerang because he came back from so much. Boomer for short.
• Bandit was the name of my very first horse. The horse who kept me from committing suicide from the bullying I endured in high school. The horse who taught me that if you fall off you get back on. He was a palomino paint. So, I`m pretty partial to the name Bandit.
