In Central Asia, along the Silk Road, in the breathtaking Pamir Mountains, in the paradise of thousands of feet high plateaus and romantic valleys you can explore the nomad lifestyle on horseback! If you are saddened with the card thinking that your riding school is not enough for such a hike, do not do it. The tour is almost impossible to do!

All riders from 6 to 80 years of age, beginners or professionals, can hike in Barskoon, the village of Issy-Kul, which is famous for their friendly welcome. The main livelihood of the village is hiking, so anyone can take a horseback ride through this amazing countryside.

A basic riding knowledge is required for the hike, but what is most important is that when you apply the application, you should not be ashamed of your deficiencies, as you will choose the horse as described and get the corresponding equipment. For young children, for example, instructor escorts, stem guidance are also recommended.

Over the past 17 years, over 700 successful tours have been conducted in various parts of Kyrgyzstan. The entranced landscape attracts visitors like a magnet, so many new entrants enter the route year after year.

The hiking trails can still provide novelties for those who have been returning regularly for 10 to 15 years. This is due to the incredible diversity of the landscape, as it does not matter in which season you are and what part of the day, early in the morning, late in the afternoon or in the evening. During the hike, it is not unusual to rain, wind, and snow even in the summer months. The night is certainly cool, and during the day it is difficult for the weather savers to adjust. But of course, the organizers are getting prepared for everything.

Local horses are physically perfectly adapted to the environment. Most of them are crossbred between a Russian draft horse and a Kyrgyz horse, which is a small, hardly 150 cm high horse, whose strength has been proven many times. Their persistence and stamina allow them to drive through the rivers in the mountain, through tough rocks, and through the purest terrains.

Everything in the saddle bag!

The tour is accompanied by an English guide, cooks, expert guides, who take care of the three-day meal, so you do not have to be prepared with a tent alone beyond the warm, waterproof clothing. In fact, the organizers draw their attention to the fact that if someone wants to bring their own tent, it is imperative for him to agree on their design, as they will be mounted on the saddle. According to traditional Kyrgyz traditions, hand-made saddles are placed on the horses.

What kind of routes do you expect?

Most of the hiking trails depart from the village of Barsko, depending on their needs, 2-30 days.

The number of groups rarely exceeds 8 people, which ensures that all riders receive maximum attention.

You will be able to cross the Barskoon River, famous for its valley Juuku or canyon cliffs Ak-Shirak, among others. Through dozens of waterfalls and river glaciers, you will get to know the treasures of untouched nature along the legs.

By conquering the heights, you can compete with eagles and swim in the open spaces of the plateaus. Encounter mountain goats, deer, cows, and sheep, herded by shepherds called jakokkal.
